Thursday Night PPC League
PPC is the acronym for Practical
Pistol Course, or Police Pistol Combat. This shooting
discipline has evolved from Police training into a sport enjoyed by
civilians. PPC Shooting involves shooting at targets from various
distances under different time constraints and from different shooting
positions. In PPC the focus is on accuracy within a defined time
allotment.
Equipment Requirements:
| Firearms: |
Revolver or semiauto
centerfire handgun .32 Caliber or larger. Iron Sights Only (either
stock or aftermarket). No scopes or electronic sights are
allowed. |
| Course
of Fire: |
Match consists of two
stages
Stage 1: 12 shots in 10 seconds with 1 reload fired
at 20 feet from the standing position
Stage 2: 18 shots (6
Standing, 6 Sitting, 6 Kneeling) in 70 seconds with 2 reloads fired
at 60 feet.

| Supplies
Needed: |
30 rounds of Ammo.
Minimum of 2 speedloaders or 3 magazines. Eye and ear
protection. Pen or pencil, calculator. Holsters may be
worn, however we will not be drawing the firearm from the
holster. This will be a cold range. |
| Cost: |
$5.00 per Match (plus the
cost of targets). We will be using the store's B-27 targets
for these matches. |
Come join us every Thursday, beginning
July 13 for this friendly competition. Matches will start at
6:30 PM
