Tuesday Night Ladies’ Nights
Gather up your friends and treat yourselves to a bang-up “Ladies’ Night Out.” Participation in shooting sports is a great way to add some real spice to a get together with friends and to make new friends with a common interest. At Midwest Gun and Range, we add the special ingredient – no range fees for the ladies on Tuesday nights.
Thursday Night PPC League
Evolving from Police Pistol Combat, today PPC is the acronym for Practical Pistol Course. Once a discipline open only to law enforcement, PPC has grown into a sport that all shooting sports enthusiasts can enjoy.
During PPC shooting, you’ll shoot at targets from various distances under different time constraints and from different shooting positions. How accurate is your marksmanship as the clock winds down?
Our PPC matches begin at 6:30 p.m. each Thursday evening.
Each PPC match consists of two stages:
1. You’ll fire 12 shots in 10-seconds with one reload fired at 20 feet from
the standing position.
2. In 70 seconds, you’ll fire 18 shots (6 standing, 6 sitting, 6 kneeling)
with two reloads fired at 60 feet.
Equipment Requirements:
- Revolver or semi auto center-fire handgun .32 Caliber or larger.
- Iron sights only (either stock or aftermarket). No scopes or electronic sights allowed.
- Minimum of two (2) speed loaders or three (3) magazines.
- Eye and ear protection.
- Pen, pencil, or calculator.
You may wear a holster if you wish, but you will not draw the firearm from the holster. PPC is practiced on a cold range.
Cost:
At just $5.00 per match + target cost (you’ll use our B-27 targets @ $0.47
each), PPC competitions are one of the most affordable types of sport
shooting and certainly one of the most fun!
